Carrie’s Story

It was thirty years of first-hand experiences that led me to what I believe was a calling from God to help others.  My own struggles and experiences led to the development of the  Believers Business Center.  I believe it is a God inspired plan that can be a bridge for others hurdling the same milestones I found within my own experience.

Having been a child from a broken home, my only belief was in myself.  My determination to escape, instilled in me an entrepreneur’s spirit at age 17.  I had never even heard the word" entrepreneur,” but by age 18, with limited education, I had built a stable business.  By age 22, I had thirty-two employees and success.  Life was great! 

UNTIL …

At age 30, everything I had worked for was ripped away by a horrifying disease which today is called “Morgellons.”  Dealing with the disease, I was the unaware person searching for health answers to save my family, and not knowing where to turn.  I was the person who attended churches and got lost in the crowd, because when I needed answers I didn’t know that the Bible held them.  Until one day, I met a businessman, who had the boldness and insight to ask me, “do you know who Jesus Christ is?”  That man’s words saved my life. 

Through the combined challenges of my own life from starting a business, to finding health and wellness answers, to accepting Jesus, to authoring two books, my heart cries “I can relate!” 

I found God through desperation. From rock bottom, I built businesses from the ground up, and over the years have dealt with most of the issues faced by small businesses.  Many years I ran my business out of my home.  I know how wonderful it would have been to have had a meeting room ,and a business mailing address option, without the cost of high dollar rent.  So those needs are incorporated into this center.  These "little things" make a big difference in the life of an entrepreneur.

I have walked in the shoes of authors when writing my books, and have faced the same world of distribution blockers as other authors are now hurdling. The Believers Business Center is a place where people can come together to develop new marketing strategies, and explore options.

With every new undertaking I faced through life's journeys, good and bad, when I placed them as the priority, God connected me to people who helped me find my way. It was always about connecting with the right person, or being in the right place at the right time.  I fully believe, Believers Business Center, can lead and connect anyone to their own victories and testimonials as well. 

For me, This is not about a building, it’s about the people in our community who need a place, with the "soul" purpose of providing opportunities, where people can find support to help themselves over their hurdles.  A place in the marketplace that is filled with opportunities and motivational words that will inspire people to live bigger, and better dreams. This building is a place where we can make things happen!

To date, I have been personally funding this God directed project.  As the vision came together, it became far beyond what I could have ever imagined in details and design.  The vision is now a mission in action.  We have over 75 supporters!  I am so thrilled that the center is now at the point of being able to assist with the needs in our community.
